Android 4.4.2 NE6 + Root for T-Mobile Galaxy S5!

For those of you who rooted your T-Mobile Galaxy S5 and couldn’t update to the latest NE6 Android 4.4.2 update using OTA (over-the-air), you can just grab the Android 4.4.2 NE6 Stock ROM zip file made by XDA user BeansTown106.

This is 100% exact same version you can use to install using CWM or TWRP recovery, that way you don’t have to unroot or install stock firmware, both which can take a long time to do.

This stock ROM also comes with root, removed provisioning for WiFi HotSpot (just don’t abuse it, T-Mobile can still throttle you), and working ART/Private Mode, also CarrierIQ-free.

Essentially, way better than running pure stock firmware so grab this if you want to run the latest NE6 Android 4.4.2 stock!

Download NE6 Modem + Bootloader (optional)

To install ROM, reboot into CWM or TWRP Recovery, make a backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, and reboot.  If coming from the stock ROM, you can skip wipe data/factory reset.

Optionally, if you want the latest NE6 modem + bootloader, download and unzip the NE6 modem + Bootloader, then use ODIN program to install in Download Mode. (Use PDA)  Put your phone into ODIN Download mode by pressing Volume Down + Center Home + Power buttons together after powering off your phone.  I personally didn’t find any differences by using an older modem but you can update and see if it makes a difference if you have trouble with signal.
