Alliance ROM for Galaxy S5! [Now available for Verizon S5!]

For this week’s ROM of the Week, check out the latest version of Alliance ROM.

There’s now TWO different versions of Alliance ROM, one built from SM-G900F and one built from T-Mobile SM-G900T firmware.  Both of these versions can be installed on SM-G900F, SM-G900I, SM-G900M, SM-G900T, and SM-G900W8.  They are nearly identical features except the T-Mobile version includes WiFi Calling for T-Mobile users.

UPDATE: There’s also a Verizon version now you can install!

Based on latest KitKat firmware, Alliance ROM brings you ROM Control Settings AKA “Alliance ROM Settings” that will allow you to tweak every part of your UI to the maximum, sorta like AOKP ROM Control with AOKP ROM.

With Alliance ROM Settings, you can change colors of your themes, change backgrounds, add/remove notification panel buttons, customize Power Menu, enable call recording/conference call, customize hardware keys (short, double-tap, long-press), customize lockscreen including AOSP lockscreen, screen-off torch shortcut, enable 360 degree rotation in launcher, enable 180 degree rotation in lockscreen, enable NFC with screen ON/Off, and so much more.

For themes, you can also switch 18 different custom themes if using TouchWiz launcher so you don’t get bored of your UI.  Alliance ROM also includes couple nice Xposed modules you can play around with.

Overall, Alliance ROM is filled with more features/customization than you could ask for while performance/battery life is excellent.  If you are looking to boost your Note 3 a bit, definitely check out Alliance ROM this week(end) and do let me know what you think!

Both of the versions below can be install on SM-G900F, SM-G900I, SM-G900T, SM-G900W8, and SM-G900M.

    HI Max,

just installed on my G900M with LTE. ROM installed fine but it seems that the phone is VERY slow.

Have you seen this in your sample?

    • admin says:

Speed of your phone? Did you do a factory reset when installing, not dirty flash?

      • Sam says:

I have also been experiencing exceptionally slow performance after booting and significantly decreased battery life. After booting my cpu clock speed is as low as 333mhz as opposed to running at the expected (oc) speed of 2.574ghz.

Complete factory reset was performed initially before installing this rom.

It’s a good looking ROM, but battery runs out as the minutes of the clock. 🙁

    Had to uninstall 🙁

    • Max Lee says:

Make sure you run for a day at least, sometimes it’s battery stats that cause that. Usually a power cycle gives you normal battery life.

  13. mark says:

Hello Max, cpu-z says my phone is the 900S Korean version, but the sticker behind the battery says 900H, and it has the invalid imei thing after I did a factory reset, so now I can only make calls and texts, but no data on T-Mobile US. Any idea if I flash this ROM will resolve my problem or I need to fix that invalid imei thing first? BTW, my phone doesn’t even show that I have an imei #. So confused here.

Love this ROM. Fast, efficient and a ton of custom options. Battery life is great and I haven’t even run a full cycle yet. Just installed on my Verizon S5 and everything is working great except for private mode. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Other than that, awesome ROM. Thanks for all your help!

  15. Jens says:

Great Rom!! I’m having a problem with the S5 Verizon reboot and shutdown. When I hold the power button and do a shutdown or normal reboot(Hot boot works fine) the phone screen goes black but the notification led is lit blue and the touch buttons are also lit. It stays like this until I pull the battery. Any help please.

    Good night to everybody,
I installed on my SM-G900M the version of Alliance ROM (SM-G900F version). Everything seems to work well but i got a difficulty with my corporative email configuration, is a exchange acc and takes adminitration of the phone, it must encrypt the phone and sd first before the configuration….is in this step where I´m stucked.
The phone ask me permission to encrypt, then I press yes, phone reboot, and nothing happens…it ask me again to finish security process before see my emails.

Any idea about how to fix it?
